My Mission:
Using classic Behavioral Therapy Techniques coupled with state of the art Biofeedback and Virtual Reality Therapy technology, I am able to help Adults and Children suffering from Phobias, such as Fear of Flying and Fear of Public Speaking, overcome these debilitating disorders and lead normal lives.
One of my proudest accomplishments is to help those suffering from Traumatic Brain Injury and Chronic Pain. These include those injured in sports, accidents and combat. Using biofeedback and Neurofeedback Technologies I have helped many such individuals recover Cognitive Function, reduce their Pain and Stress.
I am Board Certified at the Senior Fellow level in both Neurofeedback and general Biofeedback which I use to provide state of the art therapy for children and adults. I help them develop or regain their brain strength and attain their full potential. I help children, diagnosed with ADHD, eliminate the need for medication, improve the reading ability in children and adults who are struggling and reduce the severity of symptoms in those suffering with ASD and Tourette's Syndrome. I use the same techniques to help enhance Performance in Sports such as golf and tennis and improve Occupational Stamina.
 
My Bio:
Dr. Alan Strohmayer received his Doctorate from Cornell University Medical College in Neuroscience and has over 35 years of professional experience in biofeedback and behavioral therapy. He is Board certified at the senior fellow level in both general Biofeedback and in EEG (Neuro) biofeedback and is licensed in New York State. Dr. Strohmayer has published his original research in neuroscience and biofeedback. He is past Chief of the Biofeedback service at North Shore University Hospital. Prior to his Brain Strength Training served on the faculties in departments of Neurology and Psychiatry at New York University and Cornell University Medical Schools.
