As individuals come to treatment after experiencing trauma, based on witnessing physical trauma, sexual assault, bias harassment, and homelessness. Counselors need to understand what these experiences mean for the child or adolescent and trauma's impact on the individual's school and life functioning. Over the two days, participants will learn how to identify patterns of behavior that may indicate trauma and learn evidence-based practices for addressing these behaviors.

Roslyn Hoff, Licensed Mental Health Counselor, Nationally Certified School Psychologist and Licensed School District Administrator
Roslyn Hoff, is a noted lecturer on a variety of topics related to disabilities, Trauma Based Therapy, Cognitive Behavior Therapy, behavior intervention techniques, Autism, and Emotional Disturbance. Ms. Hoff is also sought after to address issues related to child abuse, suicidal ideation and prevention, and bullying in our schools. She has addressed various professional mental health bodies, and universities with many of her lectures have had audiences in an excess of 200 mental health professionals. With over 25 years of experience providing Mental Health services in the not for profit sector, private consultation and for the New York City Department of Education, Ms. Hoff has addressed politicians and political bodies in NY state on issues relating to mental health.
