Based on the theories of Karen Horney, Wilfred Bion and Elias Porter, the Interpersonal Triangle model will be introduced and then suggestions made on how to use the model as a round map for developing more EI in ourselves as helping professionals, our clients and society as a whole. A free inventory to measure our own behavioral proclivities will be available for all participants.
This is a non-interactive self-study course.
From the time of registration, you have six months to access the coursework.
Upon completion of this training, professionals will be able to do the following:
- Be able to list and describe the three dimensions of how we interact with others, ourselves and the world.
- Describe the difference between the healthy "light" positive aspects of each dimension versus the negative "heavy" dysfunctional aspects of each dimension.
- Describe how to use the Interpersonal Triangle model to move from unproductive reactivity to balanced responsibility (emotional intelligence)
