Art therapy utilizes creative expression as part of the therapeutic process. It allows the client to express issues that may be too painful in traditional therapy. Art therapists use a variety of mediums to help clients express their inner difficulties. This training will train the participants in the essentials of Art Therapy and its history. It will explore how Art Therapy allows clients to express and deal with physical and sexual abuse trauma. Participants will learn how a client’s developmental level will affect their artistic expression. Participants will create their own Art Therapy toolbox to assist them in their practice.
Following the course, you will log onto the training platform on this website in order to take your evaluation and print off your certificate.
