Live Online Webinars and Online Courses:
Play Wellness’ online Play Therapy Certificate Program is approved for continuing education by the Association for Play Therapy: APT Approved Provider 16-449 (for both live and online self-study courses).
Live Online Webinar Courses:
Play Wellness LLC has been approved by NBCC as an Approved Continuing Education Provider, ACEP No, 6828. Programs that do not qualify for NBCC credit are clearly identified. Play Wellness LLC is solely responsible for all aspects of the programs. Online Self-Study courses do not qualify for NBCC credit.
Live webinars are scheduled one weekend per month over a six-month period with the option for participants to complete non-contact continuing education hours via recorded webinars and book e-learning at their own leisure.
Process of getting credentialed/certified:
Candidates seeking the RPT, RPT-S, and SB-RPT credentials need 150 hours of play therapy specific instruction from an APT approved provider or institution of higher education. (There is a limit of 50 non-contact hours).
Candidates are also required to receive play therapy supervision while accruing direct play therapy client hours. Play Wellness LLC, located in Roswell, Georgia, provides quality play therapy and professional counseling services, supervision, and training. Yolanda Fountain, Ph.D., LPC, RPT-S, ACS, NCC is the founder of Play Wellness LLC and is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), a Registered Play Therapist-Supervisor (RPT-S), an Approved Clinical Supervisor (ACS), and a National Certified Counselor (NCC). She earned a Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision from Mercer University and a post-graduate certificate in Working with Survivors of Violence, Torture, and Trauma from the University of Maryland.
Dr. Fountain has worked in the mental/behavioral health field since 2006 with children, teens, adults, couples, and families in the school, community, psychiatric residential, college counseling, and private practice settings. She specializes in play therapy, sandtray therapy, grief, and trauma and has extensive experience in higher education as a counselor, professor, and clinical supervisor. Dr. Fountain loves and teaches graduate-level play therapy and mental health courses at several universities. She has also presented at local, regional, national, and international conferences on multiple topics related to mental health (wellness and illness). Dr. Fountain strongly advocates for the effective care and wellbeing of clinicians to stimulate optimal client care and wellness.

Who the course is intended for:
Play Wellness’ online Play Therapy Certificate Program is intended for play therapy, mental health, school counseling, social work, rehabilitation counseling, psychiatric, and psychology professionals and students who are interested in receiving or maintaining a play therapy credential.
Play Therapy Certificate Program Cancellation Policy
Workshop cancellation: Written cancellation requests that are emailed to email@example.com with at least 10 business days prior to the selected training will be provided a refund minus a $40 per training day processing fee. Credit/refunds are not provided for scheduled trainings that are canceled with less than ten business days of notice.
Program Withdrawal: In the rare event that a participant needs to withdraw from the play therapy certificate program, a written cancellation request emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org must be provided at least 10 business days prior to the next scheduled training. The participant will receive a refund minus the full cost of each previously attended workshop (not the program’s discounted rate) along with a $150 processing fee. The participant will only receive CE certificates for the workshops previously attended.
Host Cancellation: Play Wellness LLC reserves the right to cancel a workshop due to inclement weather or instructor illness/emergency. When applicable, participants will be notified via email prior to the date of the canceled workshop. Participants will be emailed information regarding the rescheduled date within ten business days of the canceled workshop.

While Play Wellness LLC goes to great lengths to assure fair treatment for all participants and attempts to anticipate problems, there will be occasional issues which come to the attention of the training staff which require intervention and/or action on the part of the training staff or an officer of Play Wellness LLC. This procedural description serves as a guideline for handling such grievances.
Complaints and grievances will require a written note, documenting the grievance, for record keeping purposes. The note need not be signed by the grieved individual.
