Applying The Empowerment Curriculum Model to Benefit Clients
Join us for this live webinar event
March 21, 2023 -- 4:00pm-5:30pm Eastern Daylight
1.5 CE Credits available for behavioral health clinicians
This presentation will introduce participants to the latest approach to support help seekers. The Empowerment Model of Emotional Wellness was designed as an online delivery product before the high demand for online service. It is not a response to COVID quarantines. Instead, it is a response to the need to remove help-seeking obstacles. The Empowerment Model of Emotional Wellness offers a prescribed curriculum to increase the efficacy of the practitioner and maximize the therapeutic value for the client. It aims to neutralize the negative power dynamics between client and practitioner and reorient clients to their inner world using experiential processes.
The presentation will educate participants on the eight modules of the Empowerment Curriculum and discuss its theoretical foundation. Two case studies will be presented during the session to demonstrate the potential effectiveness of the model. The case studies reveal how empowerment enhances clients' ability to regulate emotions, delay gratification, and predict outcomes based on effort.
Participants will understand the model to be compatible with research-supported approaches to mental wellness. Practitioners are still responsible for applying sound therapeutic engagement. The essence of the model is the use of the curriculum and its therapeutic objective of empowerment.
Registration for "Applying The Empowerment Curriculum Model to Benefit Clients" can be made by one of two methods:
- Enroll in the single live event

- Explain how barriers to traditional mental health counseling access and completion can be minimized by using the Empowerment Curriculum Model
- Explain how reframing the role of behavioral health practitioner can enhance mental wellness
